Alden's current work is an exploration of various subjects that include urban landscapes, industrial spaces, technology and cute, tiny amigurumi. (Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures.)

Alden attained a BFA in Printmaking from The Alberta College of Art & Design in 1996.
