Cory's work deals with the relationships between colour, geometry and energy. He is interested primarily in the evolution of the print processes and prefer to work in a state of flux; nothing is overly planned. Chance and circumstance play important roles in his work - unique occurrences help develop and determine the outcome of the piece.

However, these occurrences are always brought within the framework of Cory's aesthetic decisions. This further structures the vision and applies a logical element.

Cory attained a BFA in Printmaking from the Alberta College of Art & Design in 1996.
